Jens Schjødt Thorsen has been one of the main persons behind the development and implementation of the technology platform of Canal Digital: STB, encoding, muxing, SI, playout, contribution, Conditional Access, Mediahighway, MHP, contract negotiations with broadcasters. He has been a member of the technical module of Nordig 1999 to the end of 2003.

Jens Schjødt Thorsen has been in the pay-TV business since its birth. From 1988 as Technical Manager in Dekoderselskabet, which handled customers for Kanal 2 and FilmNet. Later as Technical Manager for all the Nordic countries in MultiChoice. He has been working with analogue as well as digital scrambling-systems from analogue PAL via D2-MAC to digital-TV. |
